Events Next Week in Toronto and Vancouver
I am hitting the road next week for two events on Canadian administrative law.
First, I am very happy to be speaking with Stratas JA at the OBA’s Annual Update on Judicial Review in Toronto next Tuesday (November 26). Having participated via videolink in recent years, into the early hours of the morning in the UK I am looking forward to being there in person (and home to Ottawa in time for bed). Here is the description:
Our most popular Administrative Law Section event is back so you can bring yourself up to speed on the latest in judicial review jurisprudence and trends. Once again this year, Justice David Stratas and Dr. Paul Daly, two prominent thinkers in the field, will share their expert insights on understanding, applying and successfully arguing the courts’ most recent guidance on judicial review. Questions are encouraged throughout this open and informal dialogue, so join us to engage with the experts.
Second, I’ve been asked to do the ‘year in review’ feature at the CLEBC Administrative Law Conference in Vancouver next Thursday (November 28). I have some big boots to fill, as this presentation has been given in recent years by such luminaries as David Mullan and David P Jones QC.
Here’s an overview of the developments to be covered at these events:
